As stewards for one of Central Texas' most important and cherished natural resources,
the Lower Colorado River Authority desired a new facility that would affirm its dedication to
the environment. Originally targeting LEED® Silver, the LCRA worked in close collaboration with
BGK Architects to exceed this goal by identifying additional sustainable enhancements. In January
2009, LCRA's River Operations Center was awarded LEED® Gold Certification by the USGBC to
compliment the Four-Star Rating received previously from the Austin Energy Green Building Program.
