History of BGKA
 
The firm was founded as Barnes Architects in 1985, by Principal Jay Barnes, III. Carl Gromatzky and Thomas Kosarek joined the firm in 1990, and became Principals in 1997. In 2001, the firm became Barnes Gromatzky Kosarek Architects, Inc., to reflect the contributions of all three principals. Looking ahead, the firm has put in place a strategic plan that provides for managed growth and the continued commitment to excellence in architecture.
Range of Services
 
Our practice provides a full range of architectural services – planning and urban design, feasibility studies, architectural programming, architectural design, sustainable design, and interior design. The firm has worked with civic, government, corporate and private clients to plan major public spaces, performance centers, academic facilities, office and mixed-use developments as well as private residences.
