On March 7th, 2011, the Congress for the New Urbanism announced that The University of Texas
at San Antonio Campus Master Plan had been selected to receive the prestigious Charter
Award as a project that "embodies the principles of the Charter of the New Urbanism."
The award will be presented at the Annual Congress for the New Urbanism event in Madison,
Wisconsin on June 2, 2011. As a Charter Award winner, the project will be published as
in the organization's literature and is featured on the Congress for the New Urbanism website.
