Barnes Gromatzky Kosarek Architects recently concluded work on
The University of Texas at San Antonio's
new
Multi-Campus Master Plan with a presentation to the UT System Board of Regents on August 12, 2009.
BGKA Principal Carl Gromatzky and UTSA President Dr. Ricardo Romo gave the presentation, which included
plans for phased development in order to bring the University's building capacity up to the standards
set forth by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Rather than purchasing additional land to
accommodate this growth, the Master Plan recommends that the University increase building density,
creating a more traditional, walkable, and sustainable campus environment.
